German Research Workshop to be held in September at the WRHS

Welcome to this week's SCDL Tree Talk Tuesdays. How many of you have German anestry in your line and how many of you have hit a brick wall in that research? I know that I have! I wanted to share an upcoming program that will be held at the Western Reserve Historical Society on September 14, 2013.

  The event is called "Researching German Ancestors" and the lecturer will be Warren Bittner, CG. Mr. Bittner will be presenting 5 talks about breaking down your brick walls in German Research. The schedule for the day is as follows;

Saturday, September 14, 2013

8:30-9:00am Registration (coffee and refreshments)
9:00-10:30am Historical Overview of Germany
10:30-11:00am Break
11:00-12:00pm German Historical Maps and Territories: You Can’t Do Research Without Them
12:00- 1:30pm Lunch - boxed lunches will be available ($10), or bring your own
1:30-2:30pm German Marriage Laws and Customs
2:30-3:00pm Break
3:00–4:00pm Elusive Immigrant! The Search for Dora Lühr
